Formulated as the Basic Plan on Measures for the Promotion of Education ( Plan Period : FY 2016〜2018)

Basic Principle

To foster wisdom, virtue, and physical fitness in children throughout society as a whole, and cultivate in them the ability to learn, think, and act on their own as well as to contribute to the development of society in an age of intence changes , such as from the advance of globalization.

Five perspectives for achieving the basic principle

  1. Focus on each person’s individuality and capabilities, develop these to the utmost extent possible, and foster a sense of positive self-affirmation in them
  2. Cultivate a foundation for living with a harmonious balance between wisdom, virtue, and physical fitness
  3. Foster the intellect, judgment, expressiveness, creativity, and so forth for making it in a society undergoing intense change
  4. Enhance self-awareness and dynamism as members of society, as well as their motivation to strive to contribute to the development of society
  5. Have schools, families, and the community and society coordinate and work together with one another to foster children
